I was honest about the condition, but hey, the springs were intact and it had no holes, so it really wasn’t bad — especially with the like-new couch cover I was including for free.

But good lord, you’d think it was going to cost people hundreds of dollars! They wanted to know if they could come “look at it” the FOLLOWING Friday. They wanted to know how many inches it sat off the floor. They wanted more photos. They wanted me to take it to them. In retrospect, I should have put $50, since then people would barter down from there — rather than trying to barter down from FREE. Stupid people.
