		<description><![CDATA[The intentional walk is clearly a terrible play, right up there with the sacrifice bunt in terms of shit that lowers your win expectation. Though you&#039;re correct -- there are times when an intentional walk is less awful, and --3 in a tie game is indeed one of them. I&#039;d go so far as to say that, if there&#039;s one out and the dude at the plate isn&#039;t an utterly hopeless hitter, an intentional walk is actually a substantially good play -- the additional baserunner is meaningless from a scoring perspective, and allows a groundball up the middle to end the inning instead of winning the game.

Anyhow, fuck that guy. I&#039;m pretty sure I could successfully IBB somebody. All you gotta do is lob it over there, champ! What&#039;s he going to do, lean over a crank a double?
