That doesn’t really make a ton of sense, though. Why bother going through the expense of making an actual drug and selling it when you can just drizzle some water on a sugar pill and sell just as many? That seems dumb to me.

I’m aware of it. But, yes, a lot of things that are not homeopathic at all are still labeled as such to increase appeal to idiots who buy homeopathic water.

Well, if they have discernible amounts of actual medicine in them, then they’re not actually homeopathic, pretty much by definition. I don’t doubt that some “homeopathic” medications actually do sneak in some real drugs from time to time and slap the “homeopathic” label on there to appeal more to suckers. But “real” homeopathic remedies contain basically nothing but inert ingredients.

Hey, now. Some homeopathic remedies absolutely do show repeatable results in clinical trials. This is for the non-trivial reason that they contain pharmaceutically-significant levels of actual real drugs. But the people who buy them aren’t supposed to know that. It was the magic vibratin’ water done cured me of the glanders, ma!

Also, isn’t there a third law that says that, in some cases, you can create a “remedy” using something that has the opposite effect, too? I thought I remembered that.
