Also I love the massive overreaction of threatening them with million-dollar fines and six-year prison terms. Punitive damages can go to hell in the first place, but a million dollars for filing a phony police report and having your kid hide in the attic? You know the cops are just lashing out to cover up how stupid they feel for failing to search the attic in the first place and just buying into the story.
